Be Still and Know – Psalm 46

Psalm 46 speaks directly to the heart of anyone living in a world marked by uncertainty, fear, and upheaval. The psalmist declares that God is our refuge and strength, “a very present help in trouble.” Even when the earth gives way, the mountains shake, and the nations rage, God remains unshaken.

This message walks through Psalm 46 and explores what it means to find confidence and peace not in the stability of our circumstances, but in the steadfast presence and sovereignty of God. The command to “be still, and know that I am God” is not an invitation to passivity, but a call to stop striving and remember who is truly in control.

For the believer, our ultimate refuge is not a place but a Person. Because God is with us, we can face uncertainty without fear, trust Him when circumstances seem chaotic, and rest in the certainty that He will ultimately be exalted among the nations.

Watch the video below and be encouraged to quiet your heart, trust your refuge, and remember that God is with you, even when everything around you is shaking.
