In Matthew 16:5–12, Jesus warns His disciples to “beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees.” At first, they misunderstand, thinking He’s speaking about bread but Jesus is exposing something far more dangerous: the subtle, spreading influence of false teaching and unbelief.
This message unpacks this warning, showing how small distortions of truth can quietly shape our thinking and pull us away from genuine faith.
Jesus calls His disciples to remember His provision, trust His sufficiency, and guard their hearts against influences that corrupt from within. This passage reminds us that what we allow in—our beliefs, assumptions, and influences—will inevitably shape our lives.
Watch the video here and be encouraged to discern truth carefully and remain anchored in the sufficiency of Christ.
