Greatness Through Servanthood – Matthew 20:20–28

In Matthew 20, Jesus confronts the disciples’ misunderstanding of greatness in the kingdom of God. After a request for power and prominence, Jesus turns their attention to a radically different way of living—one marked not by status or self-promotion, but by humility and service. In this message Jesus’ teaching that true greatness is found in becoming a servant.

At the center of this passage is the example of Christ Himself: “The Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.” Jesus redefines leadership through sacrifice, love, and self-giving obedience.

This passage challenges us to examine our motives, reject worldly ideas of success, and follow the example of the Savior who laid down His life for others.

Watch the video here and be encouraged to pursue Christlike humility and servant-hearted leadership in every area of life.
