The King and the Final Judgment – Matthew 25:31–46

In Matthew 25:31–46, Jesus gives a sobering picture of the final judgment. The Son of Man comes in glory, gathers the nations before Him, and separates people as a shepherd separates sheep from goats. The message about unpacks what this passage teaches about the return of Christ, the reality of eternal destinies, and the evidence of genuine faith.

Jesus makes clear that saving faith is not merely professed—it is revealed in a life transformed by grace. Acts of mercy and compassion do not earn salvation, but they demonstrate a heart that belongs to the King. The way we respond to Christ is reflected in how we love and serve others, especially the least and the overlooked.

This passage calls us to examine our lives, rest in the grace of Christ, and live in light of the day when every person will stand before the King.

May you be challenged to live faithfully as citizens of Christ’s kingdom while awaiting His glorious return.
